As a young girl she began to learn how to surf before relocating across the state of California Hawaii. The year was 2006 and she was able to win the surfing competition using a board that had been left in the trashcan. The first time she started surfing was in the age of five and at 6 she was the winner of the first competition. By 7 she had a sponsorship. The city she was born in was San Clemente in California.
